Blessed Brand's Story
Blessed Brand Clothing began during the quarantine period of coronavirus in 2020. I, Eric Jackson II, Owner and Founder of Blessed Brand grew up in church but never understood the true meaning of going or even following Christ. Covid-19 changed my entire life and the pandemic left me wondering where is security in this life? All these things (job, money, friends, enjoyable things) can be taken away so easily in this life, what shall it profit me to gain the entire world but to lose my soul, plus even if I did gain everything under the sun I would have to leave it for the next person to enjoy when I die. That's when I began to truly seek God and get to know him through the Bible and I realized that I believed that I was a Christian because I went to church and did more good than bad, but that is nowhere to be found in the Bible. Jesus said no man can come to the father except through me. Having a personal relationship with Jesus and repenting from your sin and turning to God and following him is the only way. That's when I decided that I was going to turn away from all the sin I was living in and turn to God. I felt freedom, purpose, joy, and love like I'd never felt before in my life and I eagerly wanted to share this message with friends and people who were around me. I wanted to do that through a creative way, through something that I was already talented at, which was fashion and designing. I began Blessed Brand Clothing and made the main purpose of my brand to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through clothing and fashion.
It wasn't just smooth sailing there, I graduated high school during Covid and began college in August of 2020 at The University of West Georgia. College life, school work, friends, extra-curricular activities, and of course social media cause delays in Blessed Brand. At the end of my first year in college I realized it's me vs me. Meaning I'm the only person holidng me back. I have decision over how I spend my time, decisions I make, and how much time and effect I'm willing to put into the brand. At that moment I jumped on every possible opportunity for the brand to grow. I was apart of my school's first ever Housing Fashion Show, which I did 3 consecutive years, I was apart of Vogue Academy at UWG Spring 23 Fashion Show, I changed my major from Sport Managment to Marketing, I began going to popup shops at Spelman College, Clark Atlanta, Ponce City, FAMU, and other places to build brand awareness. Even after all of these things I'm still learning many important things still til this day to help the brand grow, but at the root of it all, I want Christ's name to be honored and glorified. Amen
